Some people may be prepared to splurge a week’s earnings on a new designer handbag, but if you’re David Beckham, it’s an 80 000 pound outlay for a new Hermes Birkin bag for his wife!.
He bought the one-of-a-kind diamond encrusted silver Himalayan Birkin for Posh as he made his footballing debut for AC Milan in Dubai. A week’s wages for the Beckhams isn’t quite the same as a week’s wages for the average Jo Soap from Beckenham, so us mere mortals have to be content with wishful thinking!

But don’t we just love it when, on the rare occasion, the A-listers wear handbags that are within reach of ordinary people? Linday Lohan is a good example, as she’s often spotted with chic and affordable handbags (showing she may make the wrong lifestyle choices but the right handbag ones !).
